Abstract
By means of gas-liquid chromatography all the normal fatty acids, both odd and even, from C1 to C10 were shown to occur in the external carcass fat of sheep. Two iso acids, isobutyric and isovaleric, and an anteiso acid, [alpha]-methyl-butyric, as well as formic acid, have for the first time been shown to be components of an animal depot fat. Keywords
