Ca46(He3,d)Sc47Reaction

Abstract
The level structure of Sc47 has been studied by means of the Ca46(He3,d)Sc47 reaction. Thirty-three levels have been observed up to an excitation of 7.5 MeV in Sc47. Angular distributions were measured and compared with distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations to obtain values of the orbital-angular-momentum transfer and spectroscopic factors. All of the f72 strength and part of the p32 and p12 strength are observed, but no more than 30% of the total f52 strength is observed below an excitation of 7.5 MeV.
