Abstract
We discuss the phase transition of a self-avoiding chain in the mean field approximation. We find convenient to introduce anticommuting variables (instead of using the more conventional n → 0 limit) in which case a supersymmetry naturally appears. The supersymmetry breaks down spontaneously at the phase transitionKeywords
