Abstract
Freud's view that dissatisfaction is related to daydreams was tested for male Ss. It was hypothesized that the greater dissatisfaction, established by obtaining discrepancy between self and ideal-self, the greater the frequency of hero, sexual, and hostile daydreams. In the final analysis, it was found that Ss' dissatisfaction was positively related to daydreams of hostile content.
