The action of substances allied to 4:4′-diaminodiphenylsulphone in streptococcal and other infections in mice

Abstract
The thera-peutic activities of a number of derivatives of 4:4''-diamino-diphenylsulphone are described; some of these compounds are less toxic than the parent substance and have almost as great a therapeutic efficiency. They were tested in mice infected with streptococci, pneumococci and staphylococci. A water-soluble preparation made by means of glucose appears to be the most potent; it is almost as active as the sulphone and much less toxic.
