Abstract
Following feeding of radioactive Cu to the dog, the labelled element appears rapidly in the plasma, the conc. reaching its peak in from 2-5 hrs., after which it falls abruptly. Demonstrable amts. are still present after 2 days. The radio Cu likewise appears rapidly in the circulating red blood cells and there is a slow but gradual increase in its conc. over a 2 day period. The data indicate that in the animals in which hematopoietic activity is accelerated the rate of uptake of Cu is somewhat more extensive. The possibility that this is due to absorption is not ruled out. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
