Abstract
The interruption of 12 pregnancies of dogs was accomplished by intraven. inj. of a non-species-specific anti-gonadotropic canine serum, the action of which was comparable to a physiological hypophysectomy. No objective permanent ill effects occurred. The aborted fetuses observed at delivery were alive, but died of prematurity and lack of maternal care. The antihormone prep. used had no appreciable oxytocic activity when tested on the guinea pig uterus, but contained a considerable amt. of antidiuretic hormone in addition to thyrotropic and gonadotropic antihormones.
