Abstract
A reclassification of 5 strains of the New Jersey serotype of vesicular stomatitis virus into 2 subtypes designated Concan and Hazelhurst was proposed. This subclassification into 2 subtypes is based on reciprocal differences in antibody neutralization of virion infectivity, nucleotide base sequence homology, oligonucleotide maps of virion RNA and interference by defective-interfering particles. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
