Coulomb Excitation of the Even Tin Nuclei

Abstract
Coulomb excitation of the first 2+ states of the even tin nuclei was produced by 10-MeV α particles to obtain accurate B(E2) values (relative error ± 2%, absolute error ± 5%). The experimental B(E2) values are compared with the values calculated by Kisslinger and Sorensen and by Uher and Sorensen. The Uher-Sorensen B(E2)'s are in appreciably better agreement with the experimental results than are the Kisslinger-Sorensen ones.
