Abstract
Me capability of normal circulating tadpole red blood cells to synthesize hemoglobin in vitro has been demonstrated. The rate of tadpole hemoglobin synthesis markedly decreased during the initial phase of treatment of tadpoles with L-thyroxin. Subsequently, the synthesis of adult frog hemoglobin is specifically induced. The effects of thyroxin may be direct or indirect. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
