Abstract
The Gamow-Teller decays of N=50 nuclei are calculated, making use of an interaction determined by a least-squares fit to the spectra of N=51 nuclei. Core polarization is taken into account by evaluating various first-order diagrams, and when these and other corrections are included the calculated strengths are, in most cases, in good agreement with experiment. Keywords
