NASOGENITAL RELATIONSHIP. II PSEUDOPREGNANCY FOLLOWING EXTIRPATION OF THE SPHENOPA ATINE GANGLION IN THE RAT1

Abstract
The sphenopalatine ganglia were removed by bilateral extirpation from a large group of adult [female] rats. This inter- ruption in the non-olfactory nerve supply to the nasal mu-cosa was followed by prolonged diestrus. Stimulation of the uteri during the prolonged leukocyte smear phase produced decidual growths.
