Scattering ofK+Mesons in Emulsion

Abstract
Some new experimental results on the scattering of K+ mesons in emulsion are presented, in two energy ranges, TK=40 to 100 Mev and TK=150±30 Mev. An optical-model analysis is made of these results, which avoids many of the approximations of previous workers. It is concluded that the K+-nucleus interaction is repulsive and that the K+-nucleon cross section inside the nucleus is compatible with the observed cross section for free protons.
