Nuclear Magnetic Susceptibility Measurements ofHe3-He4Mixture Films

Abstract
Nuclear magnetic susceptibility measurements of the He3 in dilute He3-He4 mixture films are presented. At low He3 coverages (d3<0.1 layer), the He3 behaves approximately as a 2D ideal Fermi gas. For larger submonolayer He3 coverages, the low-temperature susceptibility is enhanced, increasing with increasing amounts of He3, contrary to the 2D ideal Fermi-gas model. No evidence for a phase transition in the He3 is seen.
