Abstract
The auxin production of coleoptiles of 6 different dwarf varieties of corn was generally found to be lower than that of normal corn plants. Nana dwarfs, however, when 6 or 7 days old produce equal amounts of auxin as the normal plants. Though the production of auxin of this dwarf is the same as in the normal plants, much less auxin reaches the growing regions in the dwarf than in the normal, due to a much higher rate of auxin destruction in the dwarf than in the normal plant. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
