Abstract
Single injns. of hexamethonium iodide, l-hydrazinophthalazine, or a purified alkaloidal fraction of Veratrum viride induced significant temporary reductions in the blood pressure of rats with metacorticoid (post-DCA) hypertension. Similar rats treated chronically with a diet containing ground roots of Rauwolfia serpentina exhibited a sustained depression of blood pressure. Keywords
