Abstract
Hypophysectomy performed prior to DCA implantation in young rats prevented the hypertension, renal hypertrophy and nephrosclerosis which follows admn. of DCA to intact rats. ACTH did not restore this response. Hypophysectomy performed after self-sustaining, post-DCA hypertension had developed was without effect on fluid intake but lowered the blood pressure to normal limits. Keywords
