Urinary Excretion of Formiminoglutamic Acid by Human Subjects after Antifolic Acid Therapy1

Abstract
An enzymatic procedure has been applied to the assay of formiminoglutamic acid in the urine of adults and children with a variety of disease states. Urinary formiminoglutamic acid was frequently detected in small quantities, and was markedly increased in children treated with the folic acid antagonist, amethopterin.
