The Preparation of Carbon Films for Electron Microscopy

Abstract

A technique is described for preparing carbon films 50 A thick without the intermediate step of depositing on a plastic film. Carbon is deposited on mice; the film is then floated off and picked up on grids, using a special holder which reduces the risk of breakage.
