Abstract
The generalized Smoluchowski equation is employed to calculate the first two cumulants of decay of the intermediate scattering function for interacting colloidal particles. A model calculation is presented to investigate the behavior of the general form of the cumulants. The hydrodynamic interaction is examined and possible modifications of these results are discussed. Keywords
