Zur Phylogenie des Hämoglobinmoleküls. Über den Polymorphismus und die N-terminalen Aminosäuren des Karpfenhämoglobins

Abstract
It can be shown by means of electrophoresis and column chromatography, that the haemoglobin from carp is composed of two major and at least one minor components. The components can be separated on a preparative scale on a DEAE-Sephadex column in good yield. From end group determinations it is found that in the [alpha]-chains of the major components, the N-terminal serine is acetylated, whereas the [beta]-chains have valine with a free ammo group in the N-terminal positions.
