Abstract
An exact method is outlined for handling the effect of amplitude on the results of potential modulation differentiation. The method involves the derivation of the response functions for the various spectral components corresponding to a unit impulse input. Actual analytical expressions are derived for these components corresponding to both cosine and square wave modulation functions. The formalism is demonstrated to be applicable to arbitrary input functions and of particular value in situations where signal‐to‐noise requirements forbid the use of small modulation amplitudes. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
