Abstract
Most of the homografts of the plasma-cell neoplasm 70429 grew, if they were placed in cell-impenetrable diffusion chambers in untreated mice or in mice that had received one immunizing dose, but most were destroyed or inhibitied in their growth, if placed in hyperimmunized hosts. Other homologous cells, however, transplanted into hyperimmunized hosts with the tumor cells, survived and grew. Thus, homografts of some, but not all, types of cells are destroyed or inhibited in their growth in hyperimmunized hosts, without the participation of host cells.
