Comparison of propranolol and Ro 3-3528 in hyperthyroid tachycardia and dysrhythmias

Abstract
Summary: Ro 3-3528, a non-selective β-adrenoceptor blocking drug which lacks intrinsic activity, produces a dose-response effect in hyperthyroid tachycardia, and shows no dysrhythmic properties. In hyperthyroid patients, β-blocking drugs of this nature are preferable to those possessing intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, which may have dysrhythmic properties in this condition.
