Abstract
Not chronic plumbism, but the insidious effect of the small quantities of lead to which the average individual is exposed, is the subject of this review, and the pertinent information is arranged under these heads: Magnitude of the Pb exposure of the avg. individual, relationship of this amt. of Pb to that which is likely to cause outspoken plumbism, the possible hazard of an exposure to Pb insufficient to cause the usual symptoms of poisoning.
