Abstract
The "alkaline" phosphatase activity of the renal tubules in acutely and chronically phlorizinized rats and dogs was detd. by the Gomori-Takamatsu histochemical technique and by chemical analysis of tissue extracts. No significant inhibition was found in animals showing maximal glycuresis. Phlorizin glycuresis is evidently not due to inhibition of "alkaline" phosphatase activity of the proximal convoluted tubules. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
