Abstract
30 normal adults performed certain right and left hand movements during propositional speech for five second periods upon presentation of light stimuli. After obtaining control recordings, electrical shock was paired with the light stimuli for several trials. Recordings were then obtained for a number of experimental trials without shock. The threat of penalty produced by means of the interpolated conditioning procedure resulted in very significant disorganization of speech and manual responses. Keywords
