Abstract
Frequency assignments are reported for the infrared spectra of tri‐ and tetramethyl‐ and ethyldiboranes, together with some of their boron‐deuterated and B10 isotopic derivatives. Additionally, a Raman spectrum of tetramethyldiborane from sources in the literature is analyzed. In assigning some of the B–C stretching frequencies, use is made of the recently formulated Average Rule. Keywords
