Abstract
A supply of nitrogen, carbon and energy is required for the initiation of branches in Achlya ambisexualis by antheridiol. The level of nutrient determines whether the branches initiated will be vegetative or antheridial. The concentration of hormone and the concentration of nutrient together determine the number of branches produced. This relationship is indistinguishable from that reported to exist between the number of branches and the concentrations of hormone A and hormone A1.Keywords
