Investigation and management of chronic dysphagia

Abstract
Sources and selection criteria We used the search terms “swallow,” “dysphagia,” and “deglutition” to search PubMed, Medline, OVID, and CINAHL. We have incorporated the consensus from key texts and recent reviews with a range of foci.3–5 We all work closely together in the management of adult patients with swallowing disorders. We are experienced in flexible endoscopy of the upper airway, videofluoroscopy, manometry, and rehabilitation of the compromised swallow.
