Abstract
Intracellular vesicular transport involves targeting of vesicles to their correct destination and subsequent fusion with the target membrane. These processes employ unique compartment‐specific proteins in combination with general components which act at several transport steps. This review will summarize recent progress made in identifying such a machinery whose assembly and activity is modulated by a variety of regulatory proteins. Keywords
