Abstract
Helenine, derived from Penicillium funiculosum delays the onset of paralysis in mice inoculated intraperitoneally with the MEF strain of poliomyelitis virus. Helenine is also effective in reducing incidence of paralysis in cynomologus monkeys infected subcutaneously with the Mahoney strain of poliomyelitis virus.Keywords
