Abstract
A nonlinear least squares method of retrieving line intensities and half-widths from spectra degraded by a finite instrumental resolving power is discussed. Examples of the applications of this technique to obtain the parameters of a single isolated line and of an overlapping pair of lines are presented. Keywords
