Abstract
The authors report further work with production of exptl. allergic encephalomyelitis by the injn. of brain extracts and emulsions. They stress that immunologic reactions of an allergic type may produce changes characterized by inflammation and vascular reaction which cannot be differentiated from those of an inflammatory character caused by an infectious agent. Allergic mechanisms can produce experimentally a patchy or diffuse demyelination closely resembling that in human acute and chronic demyelinating disease. Keywords
