Abstract
Results of 91 iodine tolerance tests on 80 patients are recorded. The thyroid apparently is the only organ which abstracts and stores iodine from the blood. This property is accelerated in thyrotoxicosis, as shown by abnormal rapidity with which iodine leaves the blood. Injected iodine disappears abnormally slowly in hypothyroidism. There is no definite relation between iodine tolerance and B. M. R.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
