Abstract
Stripping reactions on odd- nuclei to states of nonzero spin may involve two or more values of the total angular-momentum transfer for the captured nucleon. Results for the reaction ( MeV), initiated by vector-polarized deuterons, show that measurements of the vector analyzing power can be used to determine the separate cross-section contributions for the possible values.
