Optical Pulse Shaping Using a Fourier-Transformed Hologram

Abstract
An optical pulse-shaping technique using a Fourier-transformed hologram is reported. This technique permits the arbitrary manipulation of the amplitude and phase of the input pulse. We demonstrate the shaping of a picosecond pulse into asymmetric multipulses and into a square pulse.Keywords
