Abstract
Intensity measurements of new bands in the v'=5 and 7 progressions of the d3 Delta to a3 Pi emission spectrum of CO have made it possible to determine the behaviour of the electronic transition moment as a function of v' and the r-centroid. Over the r-centroid range measured (1.18-1.26 AA) there is only a slight dependence of Re on r, the variation falling within the error limits of +or-10%. Albritton's new calculations of Franck-Condon factors for this system are shown to supersede earlier ones by Wentink et al.Keywords
