Abstract
Oxidative phosphorylation in rat brain homogenates was depressed by 2.5 x 10-4 [image] or more chlorpromazine and slightly decreased by 25 and 50 [mu]g/ml reserpine. Reserpine depressed oxidative phosphorylation more markedly in the presence of chlorpromazine. In vivo chlorpromazine (10 mg/kg) slightly increased O2 uptake. ATPase was slightly depressed by chlorpromazine but not by reserpine.
