Infantile Hypercalcemia Syndrome in Twins

Abstract
AORTIC hypoplasia and multiple stenoses of pulmonary and systemic arteries occur frequently in patients with supravalvular aortic stenosis (S.A.S.).1 2 3 4 The combination of lesions has been designated "complicated S.A.S."5 or the "S.A.S. syndrome",3 and an association with infantile hypercalcemia has been recognized.3 , 6 7 8 9 A combination of the distinctive facies described by Williams et al.,10 mental retardation, aortic hypoplasia and multiple arterial stenoses without supravalvular aortic stenosis has not previously been described.
