Abstract
The equilibrium interatomic distances and their average amplitudes of vibration were determined for C2Cl6 by means of the microphotometer method in electron diffraction. Internal rotation was investigated, and the interdependence of the effects of the torsional mode and other modes of vibration on the gauche Cl–Cl distance is presented graphically. Keywords
