New Records of Ceratocystis europhioides and C. huntii with Verticicladiella Imperfect Stages from Conifers

Abstract
The staining fungus C. europhioides Wright and Cain, previously reported only from Ontario, Canada, was collected twice in Washington from bark-beetle-infested Douglas-fir logs. C. huntii Robinson, also a blue-stain fungus, previously collected only in British Columbia, Canada, is herein reported from Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, and New York from bark-beetle-infested pines, either logs or standing dead trees. Both spp. have produced perithecia under laboratory conditions on agar or wood.
