Abstract
The acoustical resonant modes of a ferrite memory core have been identified and related to the flux configuration. A simple calculation is given which indicates the relationship of the amplitude of the resonance to the single‐crystal parameters. The line width has been measured as a function of temperature and related to the relaxation of the permeability. Keywords
