Abstract
Tubular secretion of nitrofurantoin has been demonstrated in the dog and the chicken. This secretion has been localized in the proximal tubule and has been shown to be due to the action of the weak acid transport system. Reabsorption of nitrofurantoin by passive, nonionic diffusion has also been illustrated. Keywords
