Abstract
Dextran (35S) sulfate with molecular-weight distribution and biological properties similar to that used as a clinical anticoagulant was prepared. Intravenous injection of dextran sulfate is followed by renal excretion in exponentially decreasing amount. About 30% is eliminated in 2 days rising to 50% at 4 days. Initially the excreted dextran sulfate is a low-molecular-weight component of the injected material. Keywords
