Abstract
Enzymatic studies on spleen homogenates prepared from mice subjected to 640 r (LD90 dose) of whole body irradiation revealed (1) no effect upon the activity of the succinoxidase system, (2) sharp increase in the activity of the alkaline phosphatase, especially marked with ATP as substrate and (3) decreased ability to synthesize (or maintain) the high energy P compounds coupled with the oxidation of succinate. Keywords
