Abstract
Using a Monte Carlo procedure, the displacive phase transition in a model ferroelectric is studied for different values of Hamiltonian parameters, and systems of various size. The order parameter, the configurational internal energy, and the specific heat are calculated as a function of temperature. There are several independent indications in support of a second-order phase transition. Keywords
