Abstract
Narrow-band theory and several previous experiments in anthracene are contradicted by the unambiguous measurement of a normal Hall mobility for holes. Room-temperature hole Hall mobilities are 0.8±0.3 ( axis) and 2.5±1.0 ( axis). Band theory is apparently not an appropriate characterization of hole transport in anthracene.
