Abstract
The traditional model of the exciton is used to determine the positions of the band and the band relative to the first maximum of the fundamental absorption bands. The band is considered to be due to an exciton created in the immediate vicinity of an center and the band to an exciton created in the immediate vicinity of a negative-ion vacancy.
