Abstract
In this paper is presented a brief and transparent derivation, which does not depend on the existence of a conserved quantity, of the normalization condition for Bethe-Salpeter bound-state wave functions. A comment on the structure of the condition is made. Application of the condition to the Bethe-Salpeter wave-function description of physical meson states in ordinary pseudoscalar-meson theory is also described in detail. Keywords
